About Our Client :
Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Architectural Technologist / Drafter to oversee our client's residential low-rise construction projects. Our client is one of Canada's top home developers, based in the Edmonton office. They are building 13 communities across the Edmonton region.
Job Overview :
- Create detailed and accurate technical drawings and blueprints for residential construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to transform concepts and specifications into tangible visual representations.
Key Responsibilities :
Draft and prepare accurate architectural drawings, floor plans, and elevation plans.Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify technical drawings and blueprints.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and translate them into practical designs.Ensure all drawings adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.Incorporate design changes and modifications as necessary during the project lifecycle.Coordinate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.Review and analyze project specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions to identify potential design challenges or conflicts.Maintain accurate documentation and records of all design revisions and modifications.Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and technological advancements related to architectural drafting.Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role, preferably in the residential construction industry.Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, or Revit.Solid understanding of architectural and engineering principles, building codes, and construction techniques.Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of 3D modeling software and rendering tools is a plus.A degree or diploma in drafting, architecture, or a related field is preferred.What We Offer :
