Radiologist - General

Overview

At East Kootenay Regional Hospital, your expertise as a general radiologist and your compassion will be pivotal in delivering the highest quality diagnostic care to our patients. This is a new position in a diverse group of radiologists; you will practice all modalities with a focus on non-vascular interventional procedures. Peripheral hospitals and imaging clinics are linked by PACS to support cohesive workflow and immediate access to patient data.

Responsibilities

• Provide general radiology services across a broad spectrum of modalities and participate in non-vascular interventional procedures.
• Be the 7th radiologist in a diverse group, collaborating with colleagues across affiliate sites.
• Utilize PACS for seamless access to patient data and integrated workflow across peripheral hospitals and imaging clinics.
• Contribute to diagnostic services within an innovative Medical Imaging Department equipped with modern technology.
• Collaborate in an environment with the Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T MRI and a recently upgraded Nuclear Medicine department with SPECT CT; echocardiography and nuclear medicine expertise are valued.
• Engage in teaching opportunities through the affiliation with UBC’s Faculty of Medicine, as available.
• Participate in leadership development opportunities through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, as available.

Facilities and Technology

Central features include the Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T wide bore MRI and a modern technologist suite and patient prep area adjacent to the ICU tower. A SPECT CT in Nuclear Medicine enhances diagnostic capabilities.
