Job descriptionDeliver exceptional, hands-on customer service, setting the standard for your team. Identify and capitalize on large sales opportunities, especially with contractors. Monitor and improve the quality of customer interactions. Drive sales through innovative advertising and promotional ideas. Introduce and evaluate the success of new products in the market. Provide strong, supportive leadership to train and mentor employees. Build a cohesive team through recruitment and professional development. Conduct coaching sessions, performance reviews, and manage disciplinary actions. Lead monthly staff meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment. Monitor and control inventory levels and operational expenses. Ensure health and safety compliance across all operations. Oversee transactions, including daily sales, returns, costs, and expenses. Respond to store emergencies as a keyholder. Industry Expertise : Minimum 5 years of experience in the lumber and building materials (LBM) industry. Retail Management : At least 3 years in a retail leadership role. Sales Savvy : Ability to source, identify, and sell building materials effectively. Commitment : Must be a permanent resident of Canada. Actively engage with the local community to grow the business. Work flexible hours, including Saturdays. Stand for extended periods and occasionally handle environmental conditions like wood dust, debris, and outdoor weather. 80 to 100k plus bonus + Benefits + Vacation
