Sr. Tester / Functional Tester (Mainframe Testing / Wealth Management)

  • Contract Duration : 9 months, renewable
  • Worksite : Remote Work in Canada

Our client, a global leading IT company, is looking for multiple Sr. Testers / Functional Testers.

Experience :

  • Business experience with functional testing financial wealth management applications such as : account open, financial stock order / trading; bookkeeping; clearing, client statements, client files and reports, order management systems, trade processing, knowledge of trading of financial instruments (equities, options, derivative, GICs, mutual funds transactions), order entry and order processing applications, corporate actions / entitlements systems, TAX, custom statements
  • System integration test settings with banking and financial applications
  • Experience with Waterfall SDLC Methodology and Test Practices
  • Experience with functional, e2e integration and regression test approach
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Business experience with testing financial applications (account open, financial stock order / trading; bookkeeping; clearing, client statements; client files and reports)
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders in a dynamic, complex environment.
  • Ability to document, troubleshoot problems and independently start investigation into root cause of errors.
  • Good understanding of defect management process and test techniques : black box, gray box, smoke testing
  • Good communication and documentation skills, fluency in English

    • Technical Skills :

  • Mainframe "green screen" testing (i.e. uses CICS screens), including executing testcases online (via 3270) and preparing data for batch or API (in Datasets)
  • Batch Jobs and JCL experience (ITOM for batch job review)
  • Host ISPF for dataset view and manipulation (for Host files and reports, using FileManager would be an asset). MQ experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to create / execute compare jobs using JCL (DFSORT) and / or download to workstation and use other tools.
  • Database skills - DB2 SQL Queries; Knowledge of IMS FileManager would be an asset to view IMS DB
