I very successful Construction, Design and Architecture firm head-officed in Winnipeg, are seeking a new Accounting Lead (Controller), to help them as they aim to grow from $100M to $200M in annual revenues.

Your new role

Reporting to the owners of the businesses, this Group role will be 100% in office, overseeing all aspects of Accounting and managing a small team. Duties include:

Full-Cycle Accounting, Financial Control & Reporting
Payroll &pliance
Construction Project Accounting & Profitability Oversight
Acquisitions & Corporate Development
International Financial Coordination & Support
Systems, Process & Financial Modernization
Tax Optimization, Profitability & Capital Strategy

What you'll need to succeed

• CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
• 10+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in multi-entity or project-based organizations.
• Proven ability to manage A/P, A/R, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting independently.
• Experience in construction or development accounting is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of CRA regulations, IFRS standards, and corporate taxpliance.
• Skilled in QuickBooks Online, Dext, Hubdoc, and Excel-based financial analysis.
• Experience coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and legal counsel.
• Excellent organizational,munication, and time management skills.
