What You Will Do:

In this unionized position of Technician, Building Services, you will play an essential role within our Building & Fleet Services team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining accurate records of requests, progress reports and inspection records;
• Completing minor building maintenance tasks including but not limited to snow/ice removal, lawn/yard maintenance, changing light bulbs, painting, etc.;
• Performing quality checks on building systems;
• Responding to building/system alarms for troubleshooting purposes (outside building hours as well);
• Coordinating and monitoring vendor/contractor activities for compliance to AUI requirements
• Assisting with the movement of vehicles as required; and
• Assisting with cleaning, fueling/charging pool vehicles as required.

What You Will Bring:

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Three years’ experience in building maintenance setting;
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
• An acceptable driver's abstract is also required for this position; and
• Physical ability to perform the duties of this position.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Demonstrated mechanical ability;
• Beginner proficiency with MS Office 365 (Word, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Beginner proficiency with a work order system (example: Maximo)
• Ability to problem solve; and
• Strong attention to detail.
