Job descriptionOwn and evolve a complex technology portfolio aligned with business mission Define high-level system architecture and approve design patterns for scalable, enterprise-grade platforms Lead major technical initiatives, including vendor selection and strategic investments Partner with senior technical leaders on architectural decisions and critical problem-solving Serve as the engineering leader within the Product–Design–Engineering trio , ensuring technical feasibility and innovation Communicate the business value of technology initiatives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Lead initiatives from early prototyping to full production deployment and ongoing optimization Ensure applications are highly available, performant, and scalable under heavy load 5+ years of backend development experience 3+ years of people management experience Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering Experience in digital financial services (strongly preferred) Background in enterprise-scale systems Deep expertise in C++ with a focus on low-latency, high-performance systems Experience with cloud-native microservices , particularly on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GKE Strong understanding of data storage technologies (Cloud SQL, MongoDB, Redis, SQL Server) Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Google Pub / Sub) Proficiency in CI / CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence Strong skills in performance tuning and system optimization
