Base pay range

CA$41.95 / hr – CA$42.40 / hr

Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor, Fleet & Supplies, you will be responsible for ensuring the City vehicles and equipment are in optimal operating condition in accordance with legislated standards and internal requirements.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform mandatory commercial vehicle inspections and other inspections in compliance with the National Safety Code, Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration System, and the Highway Traffic Act.
• Diagnose and perform repairs to complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and fuel systems as they apply to automotive, truck, agricultural, turf and heavy equipment units.
• Additional duties as required.
• Shift work, standby and the ability to work overtime is required.
• Shifts are Monday - Friday from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm. You will be required to be on‑call approximately once a month.
