Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on healthcare practice growth.
- Lead design and delivery of major healthcare projects ranging from 80,000 to 800,000 sqft.
- Support adjacent sector projects and regions as required.
- Interface regularly with North American architectural and engineering leaders.
- Represent healthcare design and reinforce Stantec’s global brand locally.
- Drive revenue growth in the region and across North America.
- Collaborate with technical and managerial leads to meet financial and health‑outcome metrics.
- Lead business development pursuits, proposal development, and client relationship management.
- Serve as a key seller and relationship builder with clients, partners, and recruits.
- Contribute to Stantec’s thought leadership through knowledge sharing and event participation.
- Mentor and coach emerging designers.
Capabilities and Credentials
- Recent healthcare experience with interest in Acute Care, Outpatient Care, Women’s Health, Behavioral Health, Cancer, and Long‑Term Care.
- Knowledge of IPD, APD, modular approaches, and other delivery innovations.
- Demonstrated design and planning leadership on major projects.
- Ability to balance a book of business across varied healthcare project types.
- Technical understanding of health facility architecture, including programming, site selection, core & shell, fit‑out, and interior design.
- Experience in strategic pre‑positioning, RFPs, contract negotiations, and fee management.
- Strong business development skills and a seller‑doer mindset.
- Entrepreneurial orientation and understanding of consulting‑service challenges.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of market assessment and business planning techniques.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture or equivalent.
- Licensed Architect preferred.
- 20+ years in the AEC industry.
- LEED AP Credential preferred.
Compensation & Location
Locations in Lower Mainland – BC, GTA & Ottawa – $144,400.00 to $223,800.00 annually.
Primary location: Vancouver, BC, Canada.
