Excel Foundry & Machine was founded in 1929 in Pekin, Illinois, the company first produced small brass bushings before expanding in the 1970s into bronze wear parts for the mining industry. Today, Excel is recognized as a full-line provider of high-performance crusher replacement parts, mill lift inserts, undercarriage components for shovels, and a growing line of replacement parts for large-scale open pit mining equipment. In 2006, the company was acquired by FLSmidth A/S and continues to operate as part of the group, doing business as Excel, while carrying forward its legacy of innovation, quality, and reliability.

About The Department The Service Business Line - Spare Parts - Excel Foundry & Machine focuses on delivering high-performance spare parts, aftermarket solutions and services tailored to our mining customers' most demanding operational needs. By combining technical expertise with customer-focused strategies, we ensure uptime, reliability, and long-term value creation across Chile.

The sales representative reports operationally to Head of SAMER Sales of FLSmidth Excel Foundry & Machine.

Your responsibilities

· Arrange sales calls and meet with customers to sell our Excel HPP portfolio.

· Act as the primary customer contact, building and maintaining strong relationships known for excellent customer service.

· Develop and implement short-to-mid-term planning strategies to protect, grow and diversify our relationship with customers.

· Provides sales technical assistance and product training.

· Collaborate with internal teams to maximize sales potential and draft proposals.

· Visit customer sites to consult on equipment operations, replacement requirements and pending scope of work.

· Maintain comprehensive account plans for key accounts.

· Manage expense accounts to keep costs in line with budgeted target while adhering to defined budget guidelines.

· Complete regular entries and updates in CRM

What you bring

· B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and 10+ years of experience selling in the mining industry

· Must have mining equipment industry experience with the ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and parts list.

· Proactive nature with effective communication & presentation skills and strong problem-solving ability.

· Eager to travel, 50% of the time should be spent conducting visits to our customers’ mining and aggregate plants. Travel is primarily by company-provided car.

· Antofagasta is highly preferred but will consider other locations based on distance from major mine sites.

· The territory of coverage will be select accounts within Chile.

· The primary focus of this position will be supporting key accounts in core mining territories as well as adjacent industries in the states above.

· Direct engagement and knowledge of these markets within this region as well as other industrial plants is a plus.
