Light Press Operator / Packager

Pertinent Information :   Full-time role(s) – Monday to Friday. Steady day shift (7 : 00 a.m – 3 : 30 p.m).

Overtime :  Paid after 40 hours. May be required to work a half day on Saturdays, when needed.

Job Description :

Working in a prominent Tool & Mould Shop on a 250-300 tonne press machine and packaging line producing “Class A” exterior car mouldings, the Press Operator’s responsibilities are to include the following, but not limited to :

• Working with lightweight Class A steel (weighing no more than 3 lbs.) will be required to load & operate the press and effectively optimize production
• Ensure the press / machine is working at its full capacity, oversee the maintenance (get assistance when needed) and perform timely quality checks.
• Rotation to packaging – packaging the parts in the provided bins according to their part numbers
• Ensure work environment remains safe, uncluttered and well-maintained
• Other duties as assigned
