Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at GR Baker Memorial Hospital.

This job description addresses various scenarios where nurses are required to work in one or more areas requiring advanced training & experience.

The Registered Nurse - Perinatal / Medical / Surgical, working collaboratively with the inter-professional team, plans and provides direct patient care to obstetrical patients during the intra, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods and other assigned medical / surgical patients by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Days, Nights, 07 : 00 to 19 : 00, 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 (rotating)

Qualfications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Completion of a recognized Perinatal Nursing specialty program.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate
• Current Fetal Health Surveillance Course Certificate
