Procurement Specialist - Winnipeg, Manitoba

REPORTING TO : MANAGER, SUPPLY CHAIN

POSITION SUMMARY

A Procurement Specialist at Conviron will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and support long-term business goals. The ideal Procurement Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies across key spend areas
• Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities
• Lead RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiation with suppliers
• Evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
• Track and report on sourcing initiatives, savings, and performance metrics
• Support sustainability and diversity goals in the supply base
