The Project Manager is responsible for determining the scope of work for the project, working in conjunction with the Homeowner, Adjuster, or Insurance Company. The Project Manager ensures the work is completed on time and to the highest quality, focusing on the scope and estimate of work to bring the property back to pre-loss state.
What You Will Do
Attending various sites and prepare detailed scopes and estimates for insurance & non-insurance jobs receivedRespond immediately to emergency insurance and non-insurance claims for losses and determine the cause of lossesConduct research and gain a thorough understanding of requirements for restoration projects, and execute work as per the Service Level AgreementConfirm deductibles with the client and obtain payment prior to starting repairsManage all components of projects while ensuring customer satisfaction through a timely restoration processesMonitor and coordinate project activities with the insured individuals, clients, sub-trades and other consultantsCoordinate the daily activities of all project staff, construction trades and sub-contractors, and utilize corrective action steps to keep the project on time and within target gross marginAssist in the resolution of change requests, unforeseen incidents / additional work and / or other issuesOngoing monitoring of progress and costs on jobs, and provide regular progress reporting to clientsReview construction plans for compliance with all applicable codes, permit issuance and permit fees, regulations and ordinances that govern certain bodies of work, ie. plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.Perform periodic site inspections of projects both prior to, during, and upon completion of restoration to determine compliance with approved estimatesCoordinate the permit process by reviewing permit applications, and received permits for accuracyPrepare and maintain timely and accurate documentation, reports and other materialsTrack and review sub-trade quotes, estimates, changes and requests for paymentParticipate in on-call rotationsWhat You Have
Completion of a Construction, Building Technology Diploma or Engineering DegreeTechnical Diploma Professional Engineer, C.E.T, Gold Seal Constructor or PMPIICRC Certifications are considered an assetMinimum three years of work experience in insurance restoration and / or construction estimating / project managementAbility to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plansA solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniquesResults-oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and time linesStrong management, delegation, planning and leadership skillsHighly effective negotiation, diplomatic and conflict resolutions skillsFlexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measuresEffective communication skills both written and verbalAbility to engage clients and deliver excellent serviceThorough decision making skillsHighly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-taskFlexible, adaptable and able to work effectively in a variety of settingsOperates with honesty and integrity with a genuine desire to make valuable contributions to the teamTeam player that fosters team-based learningWorks well independently and in a team environmentThis franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
