Business Analyst should be a tech savvy business expert or a business savvy technology expert and should be passionate about improving productivity through technology and processes. This position will be involved in multiple IT projects in the areas of business applications, collaboration and office productivity products, as well as some non-technical aspects of IT Infrastructure and disaster recovery. The successful candidate must be capable of working effectively with technical specialists, external vendors, implementation specialists and end users.

Main Duties and Competencies:

· Develops requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations, develops functional specifications, evaluates products for suitability within the organization and documents the organizations technology map.

· Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules, develops meeting objectives and agendas. Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively, works with vendors, implementation specialists and IT personnel, coordinates and/or executes user training

· Assists in the facilitation meetings, delivers informative well-organized presentations, contributes appropriately to conversations. Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.

· Understanding of how various issues affect each other and the project outcomes. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions, leads internal teams/task forces.

· Follows through with commitments and fosters mutual trust with fellow innovators. Assumes additional responsibility without being asked.

· Facilitates effective team interaction and ability to cooperate with variety of people to achieve results.

· Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies. Shares acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.

· Understands basic Internet, Intranet and client/server architectures, possesses working knowledge of HTML, SQL, and database design.

Requirements:

• 5 years or more of business and/or technical experience
• Experience implementing 3rd party software products
• Post secondary degree
