Stack : Ruby on Rails (RoR), JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, LLM, AI, LangChain, AWS or GCP

Leadership : Lead a team of 4 developers

Position Type : Permanent, Sudbury, ON (hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications using modern MVC frameworks, especially Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient backend code while contributing to overall architecture decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and founders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and maintain high engineering standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs; devise solutions and performance optimizations.
• Build and maintain SQL-based databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL) with strong schema design.
• Support and mentor junior developers; foster a culture of learning and excellence.
• Embrace startup dynamics by adapting to rapid changes and wearing multiple hats as needed.
