Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist

Job Overview :

  • Our client is responsible for the administration and issuance of authorizations ( permits, agreements, and conditional exemptions) under the Endangered Species Act, (ESA).

    • Through this procurement, the Client seeks to secure the required resources to complete the development and implementation of enhancements in the existing Salesforce Public Sector foundation solution to support ESA authorization service delivery modernization.

  • The objective of this project is to modernize how authorization applications are received, reviewed, processed, and approved under the Endangered Species Act through the implementation of a new ESA Authorization Management System built in Salesforce Public Sector Foundation (License and Permits Management)

    • Job Responsibilities :

  • Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist provides advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (, stress tests).
  • The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the development of test plans, test scripts and test cases and executing these against the various components.
  • The tester will work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of the required systems

    • Must Haves :

  • years of Salesforce Public Sector Foundation (License and Permit) testing
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce, DevOps, and Microsoft tools including Visio and Project and Miro boards
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Ontario Digital Service Standard, Ontario Service Design Playbook, and the Digital First Assessment product delivery approach (Pre-Discovery, Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live)
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital product development, implementation, and management
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of test scripts and user stories
  • Demonstrated experience testing prototypes and conducting usability testing
  • Demonstrated experience conducting iterative analysis and testing
  • Knowledge of user-centered design
  • Demonstrated experience conducting UAT, AODA, and vulnerability testing
  • Ability to lead and coordinate testing team
  • Knowledge Transfer Requirements :
  • Knowledge transfer is expected to occur throughout the duration of the assignment through regular meetings, touchpoints, and working sessions with LRC staff
  • All design, development, and artefacts, including all relevant and complete documents must be transferred to the ministry in the designated repositories provided
  • Dedicated knowledge transfer sessions will be scheduled during the close-out phase of the project to ensure completeness of knowledge transfer and all documentation is shared, and allow LRC staff to ask clarification and / or follow-up questions.

    Manual Testing Skills / Experience - points (weighted score)

  • Experience developing Test Cases / Scripts and data requirements, develop test scenarios, test cases for manual testing
  • Demonstrated experience conducting iterative testing in Salesforces
  • Experience developing technical testing strategies / plans
  • Experience executing testing activities for a number of types of testing such as : Integrations testing Unit testing Regression testing Functional testing Accessibility testing Non-functional testing Vulnerability testing
  • Demonstrated experience in developing test plans, test scripts, and test data; documenting software defects and tracking resolutions
  • Demonstrated experience with User Acceptance testing and leading initial UAT sessions
  • Hands-on skills with Salesforce UI and backend testing

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience reporting progress on deliverables to the team, project leads, and management, including proactively raising risks / issues with migrations
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change requests are complete

    • Agile Experience - points (weighted score)

  • Experience with Agile scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with agile sprint management, bug tracking, and testing life cycle management using Azure DevOps
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically QA processes in agile development environments

  • Demonstrated experience conducting AODA and vulnerability testing using standard testing tools ( JAWS, NVDA)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting functional and UAT testing in Salesforce

    • Public Sector Experience - points (weighted score)

  • Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations
