Donor Relations & Education Programs Coordinator - Montreal
Our client, a NFP based in Montreal, supports an internationally renowned scientific institute based in Israel by raising funds in Canada.
Position Mandate : Reporting to the Manager, Donor Relations & Education Programs Coordinator assists with providing impeccable fundraising and philanthropic support to the wider front line team. The Coordinator supports the Manager with all aspects of donor relations and educational programs.
Key Responsibilities will include :
Donor Relations :
- Collaborate with team members in the processing of donations, preparation of thank you letters, and general maintenance of Raiser’s Edge / NXT as it pertains to donor records
- Support the Manager, Donor Relations & Education Programs with recognition and stewardship activities in support of our donor retention and acquisition goals
- Gather timely information for the purpose of developing impactful donor engagement materials
- Coordinate the preparation and mailing of welcome packages for first-time donors
- Assist team members with the creation, management and distribution of donor and volunteer communication pieces
- Coordinate the condolence process for major gift donors
- Coordinate and assist with weekly thank you calls to donors
- Liaise with the Institute of Science to plan and coordinate donor visits
- Assist with copy for correspondence emails for the CEO, and answer inquiries regarding donations and the Institute
- Support Executives and events at the Montreal-based office as required
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Education Programs :
Assist the Manager in further developing Education Programs across CanadaConnect with schools and organizations in Western Canada to grow and shape the Education ProgramsAssist with the semi-finals physics tournaments currently occurring in Montreal and VancouverWork closely with Communications to update tools and assets to best promote our education programsTrack and maintain records of participants in Raiser’s Edge NXTCollaborate with frontline team members to support the fundraising efforts for Education ProgramsAttend events in support of and to share awareness of Education ProgramsNote : Occasional travel required (4x a year)Competencies : Donor Service

Post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience2-3 years of related work experience.
