About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to support and enhance production operations within a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production processes and resolve issues to meet production plans and efficiency targets.
- Review daily reports, validate data accuracy, and address deviations with production teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and other departments.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE, reduce losses, and optimize labour and inventory.
- Support the Production Manager in setting KPIs, action plans, and performance targets.
- Review product specifications and recommend updates or improvements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs; deliver training to production staff.
- Ensure sanitation standards and food safety protocols (GMP, HACCP, traceability) are consistently met.
- Troubleshoot process issues and guide operators on corrective actions.
- Plan and evaluate production operations to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
Qualifications
Legally eligible to work in Canada; strong English communication skills.Post-secondary education in Engineering, Technology, Food Science, or related field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in food processing or manufacturing, with cross-functional team involvement.Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety, root cause analysis, and production planning.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Working Conditions
Full-time, primarily weekday hours; flexibility required for occasional evenings or weekends.Office-based role with periodic work in production areas requiring compliance with food safety protocols.Ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs occasionally.CH123
