As a community reporter the successful applicant will get to cover a full range of news, community features, municipal council, culture, and sports that will be published locally across Nanaimo and surrounding communities.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and talents:
The successful candidate must be a team player and have an innovative mindset. They should be able to multitask, write using CP Style under quick deadlines and feel confident in executing meaningful storytelling in a complex digital publishing environment.
This position is supported by a local editor.
