They progress through required promotion into market-facing roles that have a direct impact on sales. Management Consulting professionals design and implement process and change interventions that integrate strategy, technology and people to enable process improvements that create value for clients. The Banking Manager helps to design and implement business changes that drive industry-specific, function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on tasks relating to people and process.
Skills and Experience
- Industry experience in Banking (Credit, Payments, and/or Digital Banking).
- Provides solutions to complex business problems for areas(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
- Successful track record of leading complex banking management/technology consulting teams across the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Involved in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility.
- Interacts with senior management levels at a client and/or within Accenture, which involve negotiating or influencing significant matters.
The Work
- Help define the value of a transformation, and how to measure and track success.
- Facilitate design thinking and/or customer journey workshops to support development of a transformation roadmap and/or strategy.
- Manage transformation management domains for a workstream (e.g., scope, cost, schedule, etc.).
- Manage the definition of the practices, processes, toolsets, and operations for one or more transformation domains.
- Build strong relationships with clients that extend beyond individual projects, including beginning to develop C-suite relationships while serving as a true trusted advisor.
- Balance understanding client needs and desires with presenting an informed and convincing perspective in the interests of the client’s business.
- Drive thought leadership, asset development, and intellectual capital efforts, building a following with similar expertise.
- Identify and advance ideas for new business opportunities.
- Drive business development by architecting and developing proposals and SOWs.
- Identify creative and hard-to-find data sources and refine hypothesis through interviews.
- Develop focused expertise across multiple targeted Transformation Excellence focus areas while maintaining breadth of knowledge basis.
Here’s What You Need
- 5+ years relevant experience in management or technology consulting with broad experience in engagement management, and business development.
- 3+ years in Banking (Credit, Payments, or Digital Banking) experience and expertise, along with corresponding banking systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing resources on large banking programs.
- A bachelor’s degree.
- English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
- Must be fluent in French.
- Must be willing to travel.
Bonus Points if
- You’ve got an advanced degree or financial industry certification.
- Banking industry and/or system certifications.
- You’ve got experience in sales and delivering banking projects on time.

The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a brand new position. The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role.
