Job Title

Consultant Psychiatrist – Old Age

Location : Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline Hospital Inpatient Mental Health Service, West Fife Inpatient Mental Health Team.

Position : Permanent, Full time (10 sessions per week). 1 post.

Responsibilities

Provide full spectrum of clinical care for old age psychiatry patients.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including the older adults service community mental health team.

Participate in continuing professional development (CPD), peer supervision, and regular educational events.

Lead and manage change initiatives, particularly focusing on developing the non‑medical workforce.

Support professional development of multidisciplinary team colleagues.

Qualifications

Fully registered medical practitioner with MRCPsych or equivalent, and appropriate CCT (or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview date).

Experience or interest in old age psychiatry is preferred.

Support and Development

The post holder will be supported by a cohesive, collegiate group of clinicians and will have access to peer supervision, regular educational events, and a large professional network.
