KeyAccountabilities :

• Performs all duties in accordance with legislation, the Standardsof Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, the College of NursesGuidelines for Professional Behaviour, the Mission Statement, and policies andprocedures of St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre Brantford
• Demonstrates competency skills in the eight (8) domains ofGerontic Nursing :
• The Helping Role
• TheTeaching-Coaching-Counselling Function
• The Diagnosticand Monitoring Function
• EffectiveManagement of Rapidly Changing Situations
• Administering andMonitoring Therapeutic Interventions and Regimes
• Establishing andMaintaining Healthy Interpersonal Relationships
• Monitoring andEnsuring the Quality of Health Care Practices
• Organizationaland Work Role Competencies (Leadership / CriticalThinking / Problem-Solving / Professionalism
• Assist the Charge Nurse with delegated duties such as staffreplacement in the absence of the central scheduler
• Collaborates with the Nurse Practitioner in accordance with their respective roles
• Contributes to a transparent culture of client and staff safety byadhering to and abiding by resident and staff safety policies and proceduresset by SJLCB
• Promotes an environment that encourages and supports change usingchange leadership theory
