Cloud Cost Management (FinOps) Data Analyst

12‑Month FTC | Senior (5‑7 Years) | 1 Position | Montreal (Onsite 3× Week)

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of Cloud FinOps capabilities and best practices for cloud cost management within the organization
• Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud spend across multiple vendors
• Develop scripts and workflows to automate data collection and reporting (e.g., using Python, SQL)
• Work with partners to design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through usage analysis, rightsizing, and purchasing strategies (e.g., Reserved Instances, Savings Plans). Liaise with technology teams to provide execution support
• Track cost optimization actions and associated value
• Manage vendor commercial incentives (e.g., Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, credits, etc.)
• Support implementation of cost recovery models for non‑standard allocations (e.g., shared services & platforms, SaaS, etc.)
• Monitor ongoing compliance with cost management standards and procedures
