  • Guide teams in interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and ensure inspection records, NCRs, and corrective actions are accurately maintained.
  • Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and third parties to align inspection protocols and ensure timely execution of daily inspection programs.
  • Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with quality standards and support the resolution of non-conformances and deficiencies.
  • Promote awareness of quality risks and opportunities and ensure proactive identification and mitigation of potential issues.
  • Review project schedules, design changes, and construction sequencing to forecast quality risks and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication across stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality expectations and timely resolution of quality-related issues.
  • Support audit readiness, project handover documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the project team.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Project Director.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil and / or infrastructure construction.

  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ISO 9001 : 2015 Internal Auditor certification is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, including risk identification and mitigation.
  • Ability to lead and influence others to adopt quality best practices.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, dynamic, and innovative construction environment.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous materials when visiting project sites.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, light lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Team-oriented and progressive workplace that values creative thinking and continuous learning.
  • Committed to employee development with opportunities for career growth across job functions.

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 CAD per year. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications.

This role is for an existing vacancy.

A note on diversity :

Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings. We invite applications from people of all genders, cultures and walks of life. Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less like to apply for roles if they don't meet every qualification. So even if you don't match all the criteria - if you are passionate about helping to construct a better future, we'd love to hear from you.
