RVezy is an innovative travel experience company that brings aspiring vacationers and RV owners together. Founded in 2016, we provide a platform for RV rentals available across most of Canada and the United States.

RVezy serves thousands of hosts and guests across North America, and you will be helping ensure they have a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience throughout each RV rental. We are seeking an exceptional Controller to join our Finance team in Ontario. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance while providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with business acumen to help scale our financial operations during our next growth phase. This is an existing role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting department, overseeing all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Oversee tax planning and compliance, including GST/HST, corporate income tax, and other regulatory requirements
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, identifying trends and providing recommendations to improve financial performance
• Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
• Lead audit processes and maintain relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
• Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital management
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the finance function

Qualifications

Competencies, skills, and attributes:

• CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Minimum 3 years in a controller or senior finance role, preferably in a high-growth environment
• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE) and tax regulations
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
• Outstanding leadership abilities with experience managing and developing finance teams
• Excellence in stakeholder communication, both written and verbal
• Experience in technology, tourism or marketplace business models
• Familiarity with travel or transportation industry
• Familiar with US tax considerations
• Background in implementing or optimizing financial systems

Location

The role will require you to work from our office in Centretown 2-3 days per week.
