Job description

Energy. Passion. Dedication. We bring these values to our customers everyday.

At Air Canada Rouge, we don’t just take people from one place to another. We make the flight feel like part of the adventure. If you’re someone who lights up a room, thrives on connection, and has a passion for making people feel at home (even at 35,000 feet), then you might be the perfect addition to our in-flight crew.

We are currently recruiting in the Montreal region and are seeking candidates who are willing to relocate to our Toronto base. A relocation allowance will not be provided under any circumstances.

What you’ll do onboard:

  • Prepare the aircraft for takeoff, making sure everything is set for a safe, smooth, and comfortable journey.
  • Greet customers with genuine warmth and keep the energy positive from takeoff to touchdown.
  • Deliver announcements and information with personality and professionalism.
  • Create a friendly, calm, and comfortable environment. Whether you’re chatting with a nervous first-time flyer or celebrating a special moment.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed and support your fellow cabin crew to keep things running smoothly.
  • Provide snack, meal and beverage service including spirits and alcoholic drinks and manage onboard product sales.
  • Help customers with in-flight entertainment and troubleshoot any technical hiccups.
  • Assist with carry-on stowage, seating changes, and comfort needs throughout the flight.
  • Handle onboard incidents and emergencies with confidence and care.
  • Respond to medical situations, including administering First Aid when necessary.
  • Keep the cabin clean, tidy, and looking sharp at all times.
  • Be a brand ambassador by sharing feedback with leaders and helping us elevate the Rouge experience.
  • Complete any required safety and service reports after each flight.

Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • You are ready to relocate to live within 90 minutes of Toronto Pearson International Airport.
  • You hold a valid Canadian passport with no travel restrictions.
  • You’ve obtained a high school diploma.
  • You can obtain a Transport Canada security clearance.
  • You have access to the internet to view scheduling changes and internal communications.
  • You’re comfortable working at high-altitudes in a pressurized cabin environment.
  • Due to the safety-critical work you will be doing, you’ll need to meet Air Canada Rouge medical standards to qualify for the role. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test. You’re expected to be free of any intoxicating substances. Safety is our top priority!
  • You’re able to successfully completion our 6-week, full-time, Air Canada Rouge Flight Attendant Initial Technical Training Program in Toronto.

Language Skills:

Candidates who speak both English and French fluently are preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who speak the following languages in addition to English: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Greek, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese, German, Punjabi, Hindi, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Korean.

Why You’ll Love Flying with Us:

  • Friendly and supportive team environment where you’re truly valued.
  • Incredible travel perks that let you explore the world (and bring your loved ones with you!)
  • Comprehensive training and career development opportunities.
  • Wellness support that includes access to wellness platforms and services to promote physical and mental health.
  • A robust Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), that gives you access to confidential counselling and referral services for employees and their families.
  • Free language training courses and resources to help you expand your skill set.
  • A well-rounded benefits program that takes care of you, in and out of the workplace.
  • Generous Retirement Program with company matching.
  • Opportunity to enrol in an Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Diversity and Inclusion:

Air Canada Rouge is committed to Diversity and Inclusion and aims to create a healthy, accessible and rewarding work environment which highlights employees’ unique contributions to our company’s success. We believe in celebrating the diversity of our workforce and as an equal opportunity employer, we encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
