Elder Care Provider Wanted - Part Time Home Caregiver – West Side Vancouver (Approx. 25 Hours/Week)

Elderly couple in their early / mid-80s living on Vancouver’s west side. The wife has dementia and benefits from calm guidance, gentle routines, and companionship. The husband has mild Parkinson’s (well managed with medication) and stays active, but does need some light support.

• Care Scope :

Guide and supervise morning routines, including wake-up, bathing, dressing, and sequencing

Currently, no lifting, transfers, toileting, or physically bathing required — caregiver may be present to supervise these routines, with occasional help as needed for clothing selection and minimal dressing support

Medication organization and reminders, checking pill checklists, light health monitoring, daily supplements (fiber drinks)

Prepare meals : breakfast, simple lunches, occasional re-heatable batch dinners

Run errands, grocery shopping, and drive or accompany clients to medical or other appointments as needed

Help around the house : kitchen clean-up, weekly laundry (including bedding), keeping staple supplies stocked, and supporting household needs

• Ideal Candidate :

Patient, calm, and self-directed

Experience with dementia care is a plus

Knows about senior nutrition and good food safety practices

Strong English communication skills

Can follow recipes, shop for ingredients, and cook independently

• Valid driver’s license required (personal vehicle not required)
