Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chilliwack British Columbia. The EWP Designer will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient designs for engineered wood products (EWPs) to meet project specifications and customer needs. Key responsibilities include reviewing project plans and requirements, preparing layouts and load calculations, collaborating with builders and contractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and building codes. The EWP Designer will also provide support to the sales team and address inquiries related to product applications and suitability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in EWP design, CAD software, and structural load calculations
• Strong understanding of building codes, building materials, and construction practices
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with clients and internal teams
• A diploma, certification, or degree in Engineering, Architectural Design, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in the construction or building materials industry is an asset
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
