Position Title : Senior Technology Specialist, Enterprise Platforms (PeopleSoft Administrator) Reports To : Senior Technology Manager, Enterprise Platforms
Department : IT Corporate Services Term : Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements : This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
The Opportunity : Equitable is growing! We are seeking a strong, dynamic and talented individual to join our team of professionals in the capacity of Senior PeopleSoft Administrator who is looking to bring in their technical administration expertise.
What you will be doing :
- Lead and improve PeopleSoft BAU processes Health Centre Setup
- Train on PeopleCode and support
- Train on PeopleSoft front end processes and business Processes and support
- Train on BI Publisher and support
- Support on-prem Windows and SQL domain roadmap
- Support new Azure resource initiatives
- Support Integration testing with other LOB’s
- Support SaaS solutions ie, Mortgage system
- Support system migrations to Azure where applicable
What you will bring :
5 Years experience with PeopleSoft server and database administration5 Years Windows server administration experience5 Year SQL server administration experience5 Years experience working within Oracles customer support representativesStrong understanding of the overall system development methodologyStrong understanding of the area’s business, supporting systems, architecture, procedures and functionsDeveloping understanding of Equitable’s business, interfacing and supporting systems, architecture, procedures and functionsProficient in most of the following :Web and client / server architecturesDatabase designMS Office Tools including Microsoft AccessSQL, Web development technologiesWork experience in an Agile environmentStrong understanding and / or exposure to CI / DevOps (GIT, DevOps)Effectively utilize multi-media technology for engaging virtual teamsProficient in problem resolution and analysisStrong ability to lead, plan and organize major testing deliverablesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to create and maintain strong working relationshipsAbility to maintain a balance of confidence and approachabilityAbility to multi-task and remain calm and flexible under tight deadlinesAbility to be flexible and exercise judgment in a changing environmentStrong leadership skills; actively serves as a coach, mentor and confidentAbility to think outside of the box taking into consideration the bigger pictureStrong understanding and proven experience in the software testing lifecycleWhat’s in it for you :
