Day On-Call Dispatcher

WHO WE ARE

Started in 1987 by a young entrepreneur with a single truck and trailer, Steve’s Livestock Transport has since grown to become the largest commercial livestock carrier in North America – and a leader in the transportation industry.

We are looking to add a Day On-Call Dispatcher to our team in Blumenort, MB or Brandon, MB working a schedule 4 days on, 4 days off, 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will dispatch, communicate, coordinate, and troubleshoot delivery issues. A significant part of the role is building relationships with the drivers by understanding and assisting them in their daily needs to ensure success on the road.

SCHEDULE

6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM rotation of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off. This rotation will include weekends and statutory holidays. Training will be provided on the day shift – Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

JOB RESPONSIBITLIES

• Dispatch drivers
• Communicate workload / schedules to drivers, including customer requirements
• Develop relationships with your team of drivers
• Ensure drivers are set up for success and have the tools they need for their work
• Troubleshoot and problem solve as issues arise ensuring all requirements and regulations are met
• Administrative tasks related to driver pay, Logistics software, permits, etc.
