Job Summary

Design, automate and certify interconnection solutions and services based on product management and NSE requirements. This include writing code to automate regression testing, as well as running manual regression to validate network services.

Responsibilities

Network Automation

  • Design and develop Automation tools to validate and certify Network Operating Systems (NOS), their features, traffic profiling and customer use cases.
  • Participate in design and development of Lab-as-a-Service platform and strategize the move from Physical infra to scalable Containerized Network Functions (CNF) based Dev and Test environments.
  • Be able to gather testing requirements from stakeholders and implement and automated those Test Cases.

Network Engineering

  • Participates in designing next generation infrastructure and solutions for layers 1-3 network services
  • Develops test plans and strategies and performs hands-on certification and technical deep-dive to ensure that architectural concepts, features and customer use cases work as anticipated.
  • Has good understanding of open-source community-based network solutions and capabilities and be able to influence changes to meet Equinix's needs.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Network Engineering and Automation
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or Related Field preferred
  • Strong network automation and development skills preferably using Python, K8s, Linux Networking and network virtualization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience of network engineering and vendor platform certifications.
  • Experience of working with service provider networking technologies and protocols, including BGP, MPLS, VXLAN

This posting is for a backfill position, meaning it is to fill an existing vacancy within our organization.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 163,000 - 245,000 USD / Annual

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 136,000 - 204,000 USD / Annual

Canada : 139,000 - 209,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
