Payroll Manager

- Auditing and analyzing payroll reports, overseeing year-end payroll activities, and reconciling statutory reporting (including T4s) with the general ledger and other financial records to ensure accuracy
- Work closely with Human Resources, Information Systems, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues, support compliance with regulatory authorities, and maintain a strong understanding of payroll systems and processes
- Stay current with relevant payroll legislation, internal policies, collective agreements, and system requirements related to employee earnings and deductions
- Support a collaborative workplace environment that values diversity, teamwork, and adherence to workplace policies and regulations
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Payroll Management Certification (CPM) required
- Professional HR designation (e.g., CHRP) considered an asset
- Knowledge of healthcare or industry reporting guidelines would be an asset
- Minimum 7 years of progressive payroll experience, including 5 years leading or managing a payroll team
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities with experience resolving system, technical, or process-related payroll issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Proficiency with enterprise payroll and financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with tools such as payroll processing platforms, statutory reporting portals, and financial reporting systems is considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French) or proficiency in an additional language is an asset
Salary Range
$110,020.48 - $137,525.60 /year
