Our Revenue Development Team :
Our revenue development team is made up of talented fundraising professionals across Canada, in the areas of major giving, direct response, annual giving and corporate, who work closely with our community of generous loyal donors to turn shared visions, passions and interests into meaningful impact in fighting the fire of arthritis. We are a national charity with local impact, and the donations from these individuals make a difference for people living with arthritis in every province.
Purpose of Role :
Working as part of the Revenue Development team, the Corporate Sponsorship & Events Intern, will support the identification and growth of the giving portfolios, provide smooth and seamless administrative support, and help create innovative fundraising events.
Key Accountabilities :
- Assist with data entry, tracking, and clean-up of organization’s database, Raiser’s Edge for event, corporate, pharma & gift-in-kind solicitations.
- Create invoices / pledge forms & assist with tax receipting for event & corporate sponsorships & liaise with Finance & Donor Services team.
- Drafting sponsorship communications for events (ex. e-blasts, templates).
- Run financial or data reports upon request for events, corporate & pharma departments.
- Research corporate & event specific grants for Arthritis Society Canada to apply for.
- Support Coordinator, Corporate & Events with event volunteer recruitment and planning.
- Assist with other event related tasks as needed.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills :
Acts as careful steward of all the Arthritis Society’s resources.Excellent time and project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.Strong technical skills – proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google platforms, Canva, and / or willingness to learn new platforms and programs.Strong data management skills and being able to prioritize high volume of data entry needs for the team.High degree of flexibility.Takes initiative and seeks out and / or willingly accepts new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.Shows the courage to try new things, ask for help, or say “I don’t know” where there is an opportunity to learn.Adapts behavior in response to feedback and experience.Nice to Haves :
