THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Data Operations, as a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to elevate your own data analytics acumen while contributing to a lean, mission‑critical Data Engineering team to help shape how our business leverages data to help us scale efficiently and profitably.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Elevate and hone our business’ approach to analytics to uncover key data points, findings, trends and that can translate into actionable insights
Support the build and scale of net-new dashboards in our existing analytics framework
Perform other related duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of our portfolio companies and overarching business.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Data Querying & Modeling

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across relational databases.

Foundational understanding of data modeling concepts (fact / dimension tables, basic star schemas).

ETL / Data Integration

Hands‑on experience with ETL / ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow, or similar).

Ability to build, deploy, and monitor data pipelines in cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and basic pipeline troubleshooting.

APIs & Data Sources

Experience working with data APIs (REST‑based), including authentication, pagination, and ingestion into data platforms.

Familiarity with JSON / XML data formats and basic transformation logic.

Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI and / or Tableau .

Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable visual insights.

Basic understanding of KPIs, metrics, and reporting best practices.

ERP / Accounting Systems

Foundational knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

Understanding of core accounting concepts (e.g., GL, AR / AP, revenue, expenses, journal entries).

Ability to work with financial data in a reporting and analytics context.

Professional Experience

0–2 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related role.

Relevant internship, co‑op, academic project, or certification experience acceptable.
