Our client is looking for a Senior ServiceNow SAM Analyst / Specialist to provide high level assessment of platform to manage, track, optimize software licenses and assets ensuring overall compliance

If located in Edm or Calgary, you are required to be onsite 3 days / week

Must Haves :

5+ years' experience working within ServiceNow , specifically with SAMPRO supporting the following areas :

License Management

Track software licenses and entitlements

Ensure compliance with vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe)

Monitor license usage vs. purchases

Compliance & Audits

Prepare for vendor audits

Identify over-licensing or under-licensing risks

Reduce compliance penalties

Optimization

Reclaim unused licenses

Recommend cost-saving strategies

Analyze usage trends

Data & Reporting

Create dashboards and reports in ServiceNow

Reconcile software installations with entitlements

Maintain CMDB accuracy

Responsibilities :

Responsible for setting up Software Asset Management license maintenance activities in SAMPRO (Software Asset Management Professional module within Servicenow), including :

Creating new software entitlements in accordance with Software Asset Management tool requirements (SAMPRO)

Creation of software models if needed

Monitoring and identifying licensing compliance risks

Analyze software usage reporting and licensing data to identify opportunities for cost savings

Coordinating software usage and license reclamation activities

Maintain Software Asset Management tool information, including ensuring software models are linked to the appropriate software assets
