About the Opportunity
We have 3 exciting roles open for Senior Procurement Specialists with government experience. These contacts start in June and run until January 2025 with a possibility of extension. The work will be done on a hybrid basis and our client’s office is located downtown in Ottawa.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Assisting in setting up and managing contracts in response to operational surges
- Ensuring ongoing support for the Government of Canada’s HR & Pay Systems
- Facilitating procurement processes
- Engaging in effective communication with stakeholders and vendors
- Seeking clarification on procurement requirements
- Advising on procurement strategy
- Actively contributing to advancing the team’s current strategic sourcing objectives
About You
The successful candidate will have the following :
Previous government experience is requiredValid Security Clearance at a minimum level of Enhanced ReliabilityYou have completed at least three (3) IT procurement requests for software, license support (SLSA), or three (3) IT procurement RFP processes that are standalone requirements, or three (3) Task-Based informatics professional services (TBIPS), or three (3) Task and Solutions Professional Services (TSPS), or a combination of the four, each with a contract value of $1 million or greater for each procurement requestYou hold a Certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution in a relevant field or an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant work experience. A copy of the certificate, diploma, or degree, as applicable, must be providedYou have a minimum of 6 years of experience within the last 10 years as lead Procurement Specialist or Procurement Manager, to plan and execute a competitive procurement process for a Government (Federal, Provincial, Territorial, Municipal, or Crown Corporation) clientAbout the Job

Vendor ManagementDeveloping and maintaining Vendor & Client communication and relationships to collect essential procurement documentsProviding direction and guidance to client’s requirements by leveraging differentprocurement strategiesCollaborating with clients to draft Statements of Work (SOWs), Terms of AgreementTAs), Security Requirement Check Lists (SRCLs) and Evaluation GridsCollaborating with contracting authorities to determine procurement strategies that advance the branch’s strategic sourcing goalsMaintaining clear documentation of the contracts to establish an audit trailAssisting in the development of procurement policies and proceduresMonitoring and tracking Tas usage and recommending contract amendments as neededPerforming contract management tasksParticipating in bid evaluations and ensuring compliance with the RFP requirementsLiaising with the contracting authorities within the PSPC Procurement Branch and PSPC’s Departmental Acquisition ServicesLROGOV
