Senior Accounting Technician

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review weekly payments to suppliers;
• Daily review of accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices;
• Perform various accounting entries;
• Participate in the preparation of month-end and fiscal year-end files (balance sheet/income statement);
• Prepare various management reports, reconciliations, and analyses for internal and external purposes;
• Tax declarations (GST, QST, VAT, American taxes);
• Monthly preparation and analysis of the financial statements for one of the companies;
• Rigorous cash flow monitoring;
• Participate in the improvement of the department's work methods;
• Occasional payroll support.

OTHER RELATED TASKS

• Perform bank reconciliations (accounts and credit cards);
• Perform data entry of receivables into the ERP system;
• Customer credit validation;
• Perform customer collection;
• Perform data entry of payables into the ERP system;
• Prepare weekly payments to suppliers (in the ERP system and at the bank).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• DEP or DEC in accounting and/or finance;
• Between 3 and 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
• Bilingualism (French/English);
• Good problem-solving skills and a strong sense of organization;
• Excellent analytical skills, autonomy, and good adaptability;
• Intermediate Excel knowledge (VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and ERP system;
• Ability to meet tight deadlines;
• Mastery of the complete accounting cycle;
• Ability to perform accounting for multiple entities and in multiple currencies;
• Knowledge of payroll.

Assets
● Knowledge of Dayforce software and the Google suite.
