We source quality local ingredients whenever possible, and deliver in reusable, recyclable and compostable packaging. We offer 10 chef-created meal kit recipes each week, with options for many lifestyles and preferences including vegetarian and vegan.

What You'll Be Doing

You will assign routes to drivers based on a specific day / area according to a weekly game plan and schedule, building on your knowledge each week.

You’ll use your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure your work is accurate.

You will become a power user with Onfleet, our live dispatch application. You will be able to use it to meet timelines and strategic goals while keeping an eye on a suite of factors to keep things running efficiently.

You will create delivery routes and update associated internal documents according to procedure and policy. You will ensure your work is thorough and correct.

You will be a go-to person for our large fleet of drivers, providing support, addressing issues, and pivoting on the fly while communicating in-person or remotely via Slack.

You’ll produce and manage the schedule for all contractors in your geography. You’ll contribute to hiring new contractors as needed.

You’ll continuously monitor delivery efficiency and facilitate communication between drivers and customers where needed.

You’ll assist at our local facility on our delivery days, representing Fresh Prep and providing a friendly face for our team of local contract drivers.

You’ll assist in recruiting and training new drivers.

You’ll proactively work to solve logistics issues and will escalate as needed, but will otherwise be responsible for ensuring delivery success in your region.

When needed, you’ll deliver leftover routes to customers.

You’ll ensure payroll and scheduling related concerns are handled and / or passed along to the appropriate parties.

Direct the pickup and delivery activities of drivers, and provide accurate directions for pickup and delivery services when needed.

What We Are Looking For

You have a college or university degree (preferred), or high school diploma and equivalent experience.

You have 2 - 4 years of experience in an operational role, demonstrating career progression, including :

At least 1 year of experience in last-mile delivery and / or delivery logistics.

At least 1 year of experience being a process leader or subject matter expert.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communication is key for this role.

You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are able to prioritize tasks as per importance.

You’re tech savvy with fair to good command of Google Suite, particularly spreadsheets, and Slack with an ability to quickly learn new software. You’re a strong, fast typist.

You have a strong track record of delivering results in a challenging environment.

You are confident in communicating clearly with diverse individuals while ensuring the message is received and understood.

You have a positive, respectful attitude with good people skills. You’re able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

You are reliable and available to work a consistent Sunday to Thursday schedule at 40 hours per week.

You have a comfortable space to work from home.

A valid driver’s license is required. Must have your own properly insured vehicle.

Transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset (i.e. shipping / receiving, scheduling, freight negotiations and regulatory requirements)
