RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

We are seeking an individual with experience in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in research. They will be implementing the EDI plan for multicentre research studies and research teams involving all pediatric hospitals across Canada (POPCORN).They will also support other ongoing trials and studies related to child health equity.

General Duties

• Assist in the planning and delivery of EDI and community of practice activities,
• Assist in writing study protocols and manuscripts,
• Manage the procedures with the Research Ethics Board and Contracts Office ( protocol approvals, amendments and annual renewals),
• Collaborate with national research team,
• Engage with diverse stakeholders,
• Design mixed-methods and community-based participatory research protocols,
• Administer questionnaires,
• Collect qualitative and quantitative data,
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data,
• Conduct literature reviews (including systematic reviews and meta-analysis),
• Help oversee volunteers and trainees,
• Assist in knowledge translation activities.

Field of Study : Public health, epidemiology or another health-related area

Other education considered an asset for this position :

Work Experience : 2 years of experience in health research
