Job Summary

The Electroneurophysiology Technologist III provides advanced technical and clinical work within multiple disciplines of the Electroneurophysiology Service including

Electroencephalography, Evoked Potentials and Electromyography. This position works within the multidisciplinary team to advise on technical interpretation of various diagnostic neuro-physiological results from patients who have been referred from the various disciplines.

The Electroneurophysiology Technologist III works with the manager and neurologists to develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for performance evaluations and mock exams for electroneurophysiology students and acts as a primary resource for management and physicians on the day to day operations of the department.

Job Demands

• Occasionally lifts objects over 10 lbs. and moves objects over 50 lbs. in the form of portable equipment in the transfer or lifting of patients.
• Regularly required to sit to operate equipment, interview patients and write reports with the constant need for fine motor skills.
• Visual concentration is required for proper data acquisition and troubleshooting.
• Eye / hand coordination is required when placing electrodes.

Exact results and precision are required when interpreting EEG and EMG / NCS data as waveform and chartanalysis. Precision also required for accurate electrode placement.

A satisfactory record of work performance is required.

Salary and Incentives

Salary - $38.14 - $48.37 per hour
