About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Security Advisor Senior!

Together, with our strong team of Cybersecurity risk advisory and Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management, you will work with state-of-the-art technologies to promote a strong cybersecurity governance and compliance culture for Intact Financial Corporation.

In collaboration with your colleagues, you will promote a security Governance culture to ensure security by design is at the mind of company’s initiative.

Also, you will ensure the team successfully & continuously evaluates and reports on the cybersecurity compliance practice to reduce cybersecurity risks for the organisation.

With your strong knowledge and innovative mindset, you will try new approaches and leverage emerging technologies to help deliver a second-to-none customer experience, shape the future of our industry, and leave your mark.

What you’ll do here :

  • Act as an expert to continuously monitor, identify and respond to applicable cybersecurity regulatory requirements.
  • Support the review and development of Cyber Governance policies as part of our continuous improvement process.
  • Help foster a strong “cybersecurity security by design” culture across the organization by facilitating virtual workshops, preparing electronic publications and communications.
  • Act as a subject matter expert working in major innovative projects and initiatives involving the company's core insurance platforms, where cybersecurity governance and compliance requirements are needed.
  • Plan and test for cybersecurity control effectiveness, including follow up on remediation plans to ensure cybersecurity compliance objectives are met.
  • Communicate efficiently to required stakeholders about the cybersecurity governance and compliance program.
  • Remain vigilant to evolving industry cybersecurity best practices, solutions, and services to ensure constant protection against ongoing threats.

What you bring to the table :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of information security. Preferred Big 4 experience.
  • Strong knowledge of information security management principles and practices.
  • Experience in development of information security policies.
  • Strong ethical principles and understanding of business and information security ethics.
  • One of these certifications would be a considerable asset : CISSP, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, GSEC, GISP.
  • Security-related certification (CEH, GCIH, GCTI, GCFE or the equivalent), an asset.
  • Positive attitude, team spirit and eagerness to learn.
  • Critical mind.
  • Experience working in a Security Operations Centre.
  • Demonstrated commitment to training, self-learning and maintaining proficiency in the technical cybersecurity domain.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
