This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with Hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.
Your role
The senior specialist will be a key player within the CRTC and Financial Operations team in the ongoing review and maintenance of the financial policies. The role will have to recommend changes and / or updates to existing policies, collaborate with Finance on various matters to determine whether policies, procedures and guidelines, pertaining to accounting principles and applications are being adhered to. They will design, and sometimes provide, training and pertinent tools to support business units. The senior specialist will also schedule, prepare, and execute quarterly procedures, analysis and reports (as required). In addition, they will perform analysis and testing to confirm compliance and adherence to financial policies and directives, provide feedback and assist with the development and implementation of appropriate action plans.
The preferred location for this role is in Ottawa, but we will consider candidates based in Toronto and Montreal as well.
