Quality Engineer

Adecco Engineering & Technical Recruitment, on the behalf of our client, a southwestern Ontario manufacturer, requires a quality engineering professional with a background in quality assurance in APQP for the Vaughan, ON area. This position supports the objectives of the quality control department assisting in the resolution of all related quality / defect issues

REQUIREMENTS - Quality Engineer

- 5+ years in the automotive quality field in a quality engineering position

- Degree or diploma from a recognized post secondary education

- Experience from and ISO registered manufacturing environment, ideally injection molding

- Experience with APQP, GD&T and CMM

- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

- Demonstrates experience in analysis and planning with ability to anticipate situations, define problems and objectives, recognize alternatives and formulate solutions

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES - Quality Engineer

- APQP related activities

- With focus on the technical aspects, look at internal processes to determine the best inspection processes

- Continue to develop current inspection process to ensure process is adequate

- Assist in the new program launch

- Identify defects and determine root cause (supplier or assembly process)

- Complete Quality Problem Reports for parts that do not meet specification requirements.

- Update programs and software utilized for inspection

- Review safety critical items

- Determine root cause of field issues and suggest resolution

- Perform other duties as required
