Here's how an Instructional Designer for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team :

Responsibilities

• Applies adult learning methodologies to deliver instructor-led courses or programs.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and develop curricula.
• Assesses the needs of the participants and modifies instructional strategies.
• Uses rapid authoring tools to develop e-learning to support instructor-led courses or programs.
• Develops standards and evaluates courses or programs, and implements revisions to improve quality.
• Provides company-wide support and consultation services on all matters related to learning and development initiatives at PCL.
• Responsible for leading the analysis, design, and development of entry-level to advanced behavioral and technical training.
• Manages the preparation of course materials, including pre- and post-course work.
• Researches and applies best practices and industry trends.
• Acts as project lead for assigned initiatives and programs and applies the principles of project and time management to track tasks / deadlines for self and a small team.
• Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
