Service Assistant

As a Service Assistant , you’ll play a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly and customers satisfied. From opening and managing work orders to ensuring accurate invoicing and timecard reconciliation, your attention to detail and organizational skills will make a real impact every day. Collaborate with skilled technicians, interact with customers, and contribute to SMS Equipment’s success. Work Location :   Fort McMurray, AB

Salary :   $60,000 - $68,000 annually.

Work Arrangement :   Fixed on site – working 5 days per week from the office.

Schedule :   Monday to Friday.

What You'll Do

• Open, maintain, and close work orders in eXtend and SAP systems.
• Prepare documentation and ensure proper classification (warranty, cost of repair, etc.).
• Maintain constant communication with customer representatives for approvals and documentation.
• Review and reconcile daily timecards, ensuring accuracy for payroll and invoicing.
• Prepare quotes, maintain files, and assist with reporting and document control.
• Provide receptionist coverage and cross-training support as needed.
• Enter service report data into SAP, create activity reports, and update spreadsheets for customer needs.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have  high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast paced industrial or customer service environment. Additional qualifications include :
