We Offer

Competitive Pay : $35.50 per hour (trip rated); approximately $85200 $95700 per year

Pension : $4.05 per hour (approx $9720 per year) 100% paid by Arrow

Full Benefits include dental life insurance pharmaceutical vision care chiropractor massage EAP and more. 100% paid by Arrow.

Shift : 4 days on 2 days off Starting at 11 : 30 PM and working a 11.5 hour shift

Responsibilities

As a professional driver with Arrow Transportation Systems Inc working for the Chilliwack Mining Branch you will have the opportunity to haul B train trailers and operate various equipment from tandem to tri drive trucks. We primarily haul copper ore form Princetons Copper Mountain mine. Our various shift schedules offer a level of flexibility to work with your life style. Oversee cargo handling and secure loads including equipment preparation application of safe practices compliance with applicable Acts andRegulations.

Perform pre and post andenroute trip inspections on equipmentoperated ensuring safetyroadworthinessand regulatory compliance.

Comply withapplicable legislation including safe operation load securement drivers hours of service occupational health and safety transportation of dangerous goods and weights and dimensions.

Complywithall rules and regulations protocols andestablishedmetrics.

Efficiently maneuver truckand trailer(s)into loading or unloading positions following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.

Mayoperateloading equipment as per role requirements.

Check mobile equipment () to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in good working order.

Report vehicle defects accidents traffic violations or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisor.

Report all safety hazards or conditionsencounteredat load unloadyardand shop sites.

RecordMaintainand Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading) and documentation to ensure that it is complete andaccurate.

Operate equipment such as truck cab computers CB radios and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases supervisors or other drivers.

Complete electronicand / or manuallogs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status following applicable provincial and federal regulations.

Communicate effectively and courteously with the public customers and co-workers.

Assistin loading and unloading of trucks.

Perform periodic inspections before during and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.

Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor loads may be a requirement.

Ensure that any debris caused by the loading / unloading of truck is cleaned up.

Provide feedback to supervisor / dispatchregardingcustomer problems mechanical problems or delivery problems.

Ensure that all customersco-workersand the public are dealt with professionally and with respect.

Train others whenrequired.

You Possess

A positive attitude

Class 1 truck drivers license

Drivers abstract with no suspensions

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

At least two job references

B train experience is required

Previous winter and mountain driving experience required

Loader operation experience is an asset
