A Snapshot of Your Day

The power turbine materials manager is a key role withing the AGT manufacturing operations and will be responsible to ensure all required material kits are compiled and delivered to the production line timely and in-full. Responsible to handle material into production, inventory control and support scheduling based on material availability and sales forecasts. The role will work closely with warehouse / logistics, supply chain, procurement, and shop floor operations to ensure a smooth flow of material from suppliers to the production floor.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Ensure all material kits for new equipment manufacture / repair & overhaul are released to production on-time as per production schedule and 100% complete. Including kitting of serviceable components, repair orders and replacement parts
  • Supervise each repair and overhaul project through the gated manufacturing process (strip / inspection / repair / replace / re-build / dispatch)
  • Oversee the power turbine demand planner to ensure a robust and accurate long term forecast of spare parts is communicated to the supply chain through SAP
  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the overall inventory system for the power turbine product line
  • Coordinate the power turbine network controller to ensure demand elements are properly planned, aligned, and issued to kit in SAP
  • Represent manufacturing operations with the supply chain to review shortages, priorities, stock targets, and communicate strategic procurement requirements
  • Maintain and monitory supply chain performance and material availability KPI's
  • Represent manufacturing operations on the global repair council to drive efficiency through increased external component repair capability / capacity
  • Support the creation of cost BOM's (project specific repair quotations)
  • Conceptualize and implement material related process improvement projects
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain a material exchange program to reduce overall shop TAT

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing operations, management, supply chain management or minimum 10yr experience in a relevant field
  • Supply Chain Management certifications are an considered an asset
  • Have experience leading projects and cross functional teams
  • Strong SAP / ERP background and experience
  • Strong analytical skills and data management experience
  • Comfortable working with change (e.g., process, organization)
  • Experience implementing improvement activities.
  • Has attention to detail and is highly organized
  • Understanding and experience in different roles / functions / processes (e.g., Finance / accounting, Supply Chain Management, operations management, scheduling / planning)
