Senior Mobile App Developer

Musora, Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada

Hi! I’m Navdeep, Lead Mobile App Developer at Musora Media. We’re an online music education company building apps that musicians use every day to learn, practice, and level up.

As a Senior Mobile App Developer at Musora, you’ll help shape the future of our mobile apps, mentor fellow developers, and ship polished, high‑quality experiences used by musicians around the world.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Mobile App Technical Strategies

Help lead the evolution of a scalable, maintainable React Native architecture for iOS and Android applications.
Follow and improve coding guidelines, best practices, and quality standards for mobile development.
Advocate for new technologies and architectures to stay ahead of the curve.

Cross‑Platform App Development

Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to build and maintain features in React Native for iOS and Android.

Ensure seamless integration with backend APIs, working alongside the backend team to plan and optimize API usage.

Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues promptly to maintain high reliability and performance.

Team Collaboration

Mentor mobile engineering team members, conducting code reviews, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth.

Work closely with product managers and the backend team to help estimate timelines and deliver high‑quality releases on schedule.

Translate ideas into buildable, user‑friendly interfaces, weighing design trade‑offs against development time and technical constraints.

Operational Excellence

Support the mobile app release lifecycle, including build pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.

Optimize CI / CD pipelines to ensure quick, reliable releases.

Monitor app performance, gather feedback, and iterate to continually improve our application.

Driving Innovation

Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in mobile development (React Native, iOS / Android ecosystems).

Recommend and implement new approaches that improve app performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm new features and refine existing functionalities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Experience

7+ years of experience building and launching mobile applications on iOS and Android.

5+ years of experience in React Native app development or using a similar framework.

Technical Skills

Advanced expertise in React Native or similar technologies.

Strong understanding of iOS and Android development lifecycles, including App Store / Play Store submission processes.

Experience integrating and working with external APIs.

Proficient in Git and agile project management methodologies.

Soft Skills

Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and ensure alignment between teams.

Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
