Job descriptionProduce moulds, machined / fabricated parts Welding and brazing as required Cut, drill, ream, bore, polish, deburr and grind aluminium parts. Tool grinding according to customized requirements Clean, fit, drill and assemble tools Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of machines Handle cleaning, fitting, drilling and assembling of the tools Build crates and pack tools for shipment Lift and relocate materials as required. Working knowledge of lock out / tag out Knowledge of 5S work environment Ontario Machinist Certification Min 2 years experience in machine shop Experience with fabrication for making thermoforming mounds or similar applications Strong working knowledge of tooling machinery - eg. Milling Machines, Lathes Able to read and interpret blue prints Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Machinist-Welder for an upcoming assignment in the GTA. This position will require you to work 8.5 hour shifts, 5 -7 days per week when assigned to a project.
- Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time You will earn :
- 36 per hour
- 30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
- Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
- Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)
